Park Ji-sung has no doubt QPR‘s profile is now huge across South Korea thanks to his move from Manchester United.

Park reckons his move will see the Hoops become a household name in his native country.

“In Korea they didn’t know much about QPR. They only focus on Korean players playing for clubs like Man United, Sunderland, Arsenal and Bolton,” Park told West London News.

“But after the last few days a lot of people in Korea now know about QPR and they’re famous. The media in Korea now talk a lot about QPR.”

Arsenal legend Wright questions if Chelsea signing Hazard can match hype | Transfers | Tribal Football

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has questioned whether Chelsea signing Eden Hazard can live up to the hype.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has questioned whether Chelsea signing Eden Hazard can live up to the hype.

Wright wrote in The Sun: “When you consider how much talking he has done, the £32million CHELSEA signing is clearly not shy.

“Hopefully, he will prove his ability matches his confidence.

“Compared to other summers, there has been a fair amount of activity in the transfer market with Hazard the most costly signing.

“The Belgian midfielder is definitely a good prospect, but clubs now find themselves spending a lot of money for young players who have yet to reach the very top of their profession.

“I have seen Hazard play for Lille in the French League and he has been OK — but I have yet to be totally convinced.”

Premier League clubs are being tipped for a record summer of transfer spending.

Football finance expert Tom Cannon believes you have all the ingredients for a record-breaking summer of splashing the cash.

Cannon, professor of strategic management at the University of Liverpool, told The Sun: “Having six or seven clubs chasing a top-four place will inevitably mean a lot more turbulence and risk-taking.

“Look at the way Chelsea are spending money. That will force Manchester City and Manchester United to respond. That’s the big three now, let’s be candid about it.

“The next three or four will have money coming in, either from sales of players like Robin van Persie, or from owners.

“Then further down you look at a club like QPR, who clearly have money to spend.

“It would not surprise me if it was a record year for transfers.”

Houston Dynamo insist talks with Stoke City over the sale of defender Geoff Cameron are continuing.

Reports in America claim Stoke bid $1million (£650,000) but MLS want closer to $3million (£1.9million) for the 27-year-old.

After talks in England last week, Cameroon returned to the States and even played in their 4-0 win over DC United at the weekend.

“I think (Monday is) a key day in determining whether or not the transfer is going to happen or not,” Dynamo president Chris Canetti said in the Houston Chronicle.

“We had a positive weekend where there were good discussions and both sides kind of understood what it’s going to take to make a deal happen.

“We will share proposals and see if we can get closer to a deal.”

Along with his £90,000-a-week wages, the whole package has proved prohibitive for a player who will be 32 next January.
